Folks, I can’t thank you enough for your support for and interest in Bastiat’s Window. The response has been wonderful, and the comments I’ve received on the site and by email have been so elevated and intelligent. It gives one hope for the world. :)
In August, I set a goal of 1,000 subscribers by New Year’s. Didn’t quite make it, but I’m just about two dozen short today. (Write your friends and get them to sign up!) I plan to multiply that number considerably in 2023.
In recent weeks, unsolicited, some readers have asked whether they could contribute funds to help Bastiat’s Window grow, so today, I set the site up to accept tokens of your generosity. If you click SUBSCRIBE you should see a digital tip jar if you’d like to contribute.
I’ve set it up to take monthly contributions of $5 (or $50 per year), and you can also be a Founding Member for $100 a year—which will mainly serve to make your friends envious that you are part of such an elite group. You can also contribute less than $100 (but more than $50) to be a founding member, and we won’t quibble about the amount. I know you can pay via ApplePay. I presume other cards will work, too.
If you prefer, send contributions by check to Robert Graboyes; RFG Counterpoint, LLC; P.O. Box 16353; Alexandria, VA 22302.
For now, almost all of the content will remain free-of-charge. Paid subscriptions will, for now, be a much-appreciated act of altruism on your part. It will help me to expand the site into areas I can’t do at present.
If you can’t access any of the past or present content, please let me know ASAP by sending an email to rfg.counterpoint@gmail.com. Nothing I’ve done today should block your access to any of my content—or the ability to comment on posts. But computers are computers, so please let me know if there are any problems.
Eventually, I’ll add some paid-subscriber-only content, but not for a while. Since August, Bastiat’s Window has produced 50+ articles on economics, ethics, technology, health, and culture.
Thanks again for everything, and a very Happy New Year to all of you,
Bob Graboyes
